Taste Profile
Delta Cafés Platinum 10kg Pack — Delta's premium blend in a hotel and restaurant format . Delta describes it as a blend of Central American Arabica , for aromatic finesse and sweetness, and Asian Robusta , for body and crema stability. Slow and natural roasted in Campo Maior (Alentejo, Portugal), using the in-house method since 1961.
In the cup : an espresso with an intense body and a smooth, lingering flavor, a dense, hazelnut-colored crema, and notes of ripe fruit, caramel, and chocolate. The acidity is present but well-integrated, and the bitterness is restrained. Compared to the Delta Gold, which is more chocolatey and direct, the Platinum is the round and elegant in the range—the after-dinner coffee of choice in restaurants and hotels in Portugal.
10 kg pack = 20 x 500 g bags, the same size as the standard Delta Platinum 500 g pack, each sealed with a degassing valve: only one bag is opened at a time, the others retain their aroma. This pack is suitable for a hotel with 20-40 rooms, a restaurant with 40-80 covers, or an office with 20-40 people — a saving of 19% compared to buying 20 bags separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Delta Platinum and Delta Gold in a 10 kg pack?
Two Delta blends, of the same intensity (8/10) but with distinct characters:
- Delta Platinum (this ref.) — top-of-the-range : Central American Arabica and Asian Robusta, slow and natural roasting, notes of ripe fruit, caramel and chocolate, round, smooth and long.
- Delta Gold 10 kg — signature blend , Arabica-Robusta, medium roast, with notes of dark chocolate and dried fruit, a more direct and chocolatey. The versatile bestseller. Same format, 20 bags of 500 g.
Platinum is slightly more expensive per sachet; the prices of both packs are displayed on their respective pages.
Is it suitable for automatic grain machines?
Yes . The Asian Robusta component of the blend produces a dense and stable crema , even in automatic office and hotel machines, and the slow roasting process minimizes oily residue in the grinder. Recommended settings: medium-fine grind, 8-9 g per cup, water at 92°C. For an even richer, chocolateier espresso, Delta Gold 10 kg is the alternative from the same producer.
How many cups does this 10kg Platinum pack contain?
Yield depending on dosage:
- Strong espresso (7 g) : ~1,430 cups, or ~71 per 500 g bag.
- Standard espresso (9 g) : ~1110 cups.
- Filter coffee (60 g / L) : ~167 litres.
For a 30-room hotel with a breakfast buffet and lounge, a 10 kg pack will last 2-4 weeks. For larger quantities, see the Delta Platinum 20 kg pack (40 bags).
What savings are there compared to buying 20 500g sachets separately?
The price of the pack is compared on this page to the price of 20 Delta Platinum 500g purchased individually — a saving of 19% at the current price. A single shipment covers several weeks of use; the delivery costs, calculated in the shopping cart based on the address, are thus more easily offset.
How should 500g bags be stored?
The best before date is printed on each bag. Sealed bags: store in a dry place at 18-22°C, away from light. The 500g format is advantageous: an opened bag is consumed within 1 to 3 weeks —in the hospitality industry, it's often gone the same day—while the others remain sealed. Use a first-in, first-out (FIFO) with labeling indicating the opening date.
Other Delta Platinum formats available?

- Delta Platinum 500 g — discovery / home use.
- Delta Platinum 1 kg (2 sachets of 500 g) — regular household use.
- Delta Platinum Pack 5 kg — 10 sachets, premium restaurant/office.
- Delta Platinum 10 kg pack (this ref.) — 20 bags, hotel and restaurant industry.
- Delta Platinum 20 kg pack — 40 bags, for high-traffic catering establishments.
