Delta Q Canela — Canela means "cinnamon" in Portuguese (the original language of Delta Cafés). Cinnamon-flavored : a light Arabica blend to which Delta adds a natural cinnamon aroma during roasting, measured to flavor the coffee without completely masking it. Intensity 5/13 Cafemalin espresso well-rounded and indulgentwith dominant notes of warm cinnamon, shortbread , and subtle vanilla. The body is balanced, the acidity moderate, the bitterness very controlled, and the natural sweetness enhanced by the cinnamon-biscuit notes. A truly indulgent ideal for:
- Autumn cinnamon cappuccino — the cappuccino with naturally integrated cinnamon, without having to sprinkle.
- Winter long coffee — a cozy moment, comforting spicy warmth.
- Gourmet after-meal coffee — replaces sugar with a cinnamon-biscuit note.
This is real caffeinated coffee (~60-80 mg caffeine/cup like a classic espresso), not an herbal tea — not to be confused with cinnamon infusions.

Is that real coffee or a cinnamon infusion?
Real caffeinated coffee — Arabica blend with natural cinnamon flavoring added during roasting. The caffeine content is typical for an espresso (~60-80 mg per cup). This is different from cinnamon teas or infusions , which do not contain coffee and are therefore caffeine-free. Delta Q Relax herbal tea (verbena/chamomile/linden), however, is caffeine-free — do not confuse it with other teas.
How is the cinnamon added?
Delta uses a natural cinnamon flavoring added during roasting (before grinding and encapsulation). This prevents:
- An uneven distribution (like sprinkling ground cinnamon on regular ground coffee).
- An incomplete extraction (the cinnamon particles do not extract as well as the coffee).
- A taste that is too raw (the calibrated natural aroma is more integrated).
The result in the cup: a balanced , fragrant cinnamon espresso , where the cinnamon complements the coffee without overpowering it. This is different from a classic coffee to which ground cinnamon is added after extraction.
Canela vs Relax vs Bio — three Delta Q “specials”, what’s the difference?
Three very different positions :
- Canela (this product) — cinnamon-flavored coffee, contains caffeine (~60-80 mg/cup). Use: indulgent cappuccino, autumn-winter coffee.
- Relax — verbena/chamomile/linden herbal tea, coffee-free, caffeine-free. Use: evening relaxation.
- Organic — 100% organic Arabica coffee, classic caffeine. Use: responsible daily consumption.

Is Canela particularly suitable as a milk drink?
Yes, an excellent choice for a decadent cappuccino/latte . The cinnamon-vanilla-biscuit notes blend perfectly with the sweetness of the hot milk —it's almost a coffee-style chai latte, or a cinnamon cappuccino without the need for a sprinkle. Recommended sequence:
- Extract 1 Canela capsule into an espresso (30-35 mL) in a cappuccino cup.
- Add 100-150 mL of hot frothed milk (or even almond milk to enhance the notes).
- Optionally, sprinkle powdered cinnamon over the mousse to amplify the visual/aromatic effect.
